Communities thrive when we lift each other up. Being rooted here at Foundry means we don’t just work alongside our neighbours, we care about their future too.

This year, together with our other building, Pixel in Penzance, we’re honoured to be partnering with Kehelland Trust, one of our neighbours on the busy Camborne high street.

After the recent storms causing widespread damage to their site, Kehelland Trust is facing the challenge of rebuilding vital areas that support young people and adults with disabilities every single day.

Their work creates opportunity, confidence and belonging. We’re excited to play a small part in helping them rebuild their much needed facilities at their incredible site.

Who Are Kehelland Trust?

In the small Cornish village of Kehelland, just down the road from Camborne is the Kehlland Trust site. Their tagline community, plants and people says it all. Their mission is to provide a rural, horticultural setting for the support of young people and adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. Set up by social services in 1982 Kehelland Trust stretches 16 acres, which includes orchards, polytunnels and greenhouses all for learning and development. Within this supportive community at Kehelland young people and adults are given the opportunity to not only develop personal & social skills but create individual opportunities and active participation in the local community.

Why It Matters to Us.

We’ve already struck up a strong relationship with this wonderful charity. When Foundry opened last year, they planted our courtyard garden with an amazing group of learners back in the latter months of 2025 and we use their milk refills from their shop for our members’ kitchen.

Community means a lot to us, not only inside of our buildings but in our local areas too. We love what Kehelland stands for and we couldn’t be more proud to support them as they continue their amazing work through the damage that Storm Goretti has caused.

A Few Things Kehelland Are Up To:

  • Community events – bringing the wider community onto site they hold several fantastic events throughout the year. These include a Giant Vegetable Competition and Show & Apple Day.
  • Meeting individual needs of those that learn through them – a wide choice of activities are given to those that get involved, meeting individual needs and ensuring that learning is empowering!
  • Goretti – The Bounce-back Benefit Gig! Two bands playing live at the Kehelland site to raise funds in the wake of the storm. Friday 13th March, doors at 5.30pm.
  • Two shops to support their work & buy their fresh produce! An on site shop where visitors can purchase site grown produce, plants, seeds and garden sundries, and a shop on Camborne high street which is perfect for shopping fresh, local produce straight from their site alongside other delicious food & drinks.
